OVERVIEW

In an emergency situation when a firefighter is rendered unconscious a motion detector can be a real lifesaver. For this reason it is compulsory in many countries for fire and rescue personnel to carry a personal motion detector.
SuperPass II has an Auto-on feature providing the next level of assurance that the unit is not only worn but also turned on. It is activated when the accountability/storage key is removed from the unit. As an alternative the unit can be integrated into the SCBA and automatically activated when the SCBA is pressurized.
When the SuperPass II turns on a unique series of loud audio tones will be heard followed by bright visual LED lights indicating operational status.
When there is a lack of mation for approxiamtely 18 to 23 seconds the unit will go into Pre-Alarm mode. In Pre-Alarm the yellow alternating display is replaced by intermittent pulsing of four red LEDs accompanied by a sweeping audio signal which becomes progressively louder.
After lack of motion lasting approxiamtely 30 to 35 seconds the unit will go into Full Alarm mode. In Full Alarm the Pre-Alarm display is replaced by a rapid pulsing of four red LEDs, which is accompanied by a loud audio alarm that varies in pitch. Once in Full Alarm the unit is reset by pressing both side buttons simultaneously.
While in Sensing mode the unit may be put into Full Alarm at any time by pressing the manual override (panic) button.
